Steelwind specializes in producing monopiles and single piece foundations. Monopile foundations have established themselves as the first choice for offshore wind turbines and are currently the most commonly used foundation type. Monopile foundations consist of a central support tube which is driven into the seabed. Transition pieces usually connect the monopiles to the wind turbines. Alternatively, the connection can be integrated into the construction of the monopile, making the separate production of a transition piece obsolete. This is known as a single piece foundation or TP-less foundation.
